Hey everyone, I've got a bit of a problem with my laptop. Last night I downloaded Europa Barbarorum II, and since then, my laptop has been incredibly slow. It started with the internet not working even though it shows that I'm connected to Wi-Fi. Now, everything is running really slowly. I can't even open the task manager or get it to restart properly; it takes 5-7 minutes just to respond. I ran a malware scan with Windows Security, and it didn't find anything. I'd really appreciate any help or advice on whether this could be malware and how to fix it! Also, I noticed it's a bit faster now, but my internet is still acting up. I'm using my phone to type this since my laptop's not getting any connection. Thanks!

Malware isn't usually the culprit for sudden slowdowns like what you're describing. Before jumping to that conclusion, I'd recommend running Windows Defender just to be safe. It's a good idea to check your system anyway after any downloads that seem to cause issues.
I've run it too, and it didn't find any threats. Everything looks good on my end!
I had a similar experience where my settings were freezing when I tried to access the network reset option. Sometimes just a power cycle can help. After some trouble, I did that and, oddly enough, that brought my internet back. I also deleted a recent download that I suspected might have caused the issue, so that might be something to consider too!
I ended up deleting the game and did a reboot, and my internet is working again, so that seems to have fixed it!
I'll try running it again and see what happens.
