Hey folks, I'm having a serious issue with my laptop. It started freezing up and showing a blue screen with the stop code: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. I tried the built-in Windows troubleshooting tool, but it couldn't resolve the problem. So, I attempted to reinstall Windows, but it always freezes at 65% and then blue screens again with the same stop code, forcing me back into the reinstall loop. If anyone has any clues on how to break this cycle, I'd really appreciate your help!

Sometimes install failures are due to hardware issues, especially with memory. Running a system diagnostic could pinpoint any hardware faults like CPU or motherboard issues, but it might be tough if you can't boot up your system.
Did you perform a proper clean install? That can sometimes resolve these types of issues. Otherwise, I suggest trying to do a full clean install rather than a standard reinstall when you get the chance.
I just did a basic reinstall, but I plan to try a proper clean install when I'm back home. Thanks for the tip!
Doing a full clean reinstall worked for me! Still unclear on what caused the initial problem, though.
To really figure out what's going wrong, you might want to check for dump files from the blue screen errors. If you can boot into Windows normally or via Safe Mode, look in C:WindowsMinidump. Zip any dump files you find and upload them to a file sharing site. It'll really help with a more accurate analysis into the crashes.
Is that even possible if I can't boot into Windows?
