I've got a Fujitsu Lifebook A555 and I'm dealing with a flickering display. The issue seems to go away temporarily after I do a system restore of Windows. I'm wondering how I can fix this screen flicker for good. I suspect it might be related to a Windows update, but even after disabling updates, the flickering persists. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to try using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove your graphics drivers while in safe mode. After that, reboot your laptop and install the latest graphics drivers from the manufacturer's website. It sounds like it could be a hardware issue, but since it stops flickering after a system restore, there's a good chance it's driver-related.
I think it could be related to the updates too, especially if the flickering starts again after a restoration. It’s possible that Windows is restoring some problematic drivers with those updates. Keeping your drivers up to date is important, so just make sure to monitor that.
