My Dell Latitude 7420 laptop suddenly froze today, and I had to force a restart by holding down the power button. After that, I saw a message saying, 'Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart.' Now, I'm stuck in a recovery loop, and when I try to launch Startup Repair, I just get another error message. I can access the BIOS Setup, but I'm not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?

Be cautious if you plan to change any settings in your BIOS, as it could lead to data loss. Always make sure you have a backup of important files before making any changes. If you're unsure about altering BIOS settings, it might be best to seek professional help.

Try booting your laptop into safe mode. When you power it on and see the Windows logo, immediately press and hold the power button to shut it down. Do this 2-3 times, and it should take you to the Automatic Repair/Recovery Environment. From there, select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings, then click Restart. After that, select option 4 or F4 to boot into safe mode. If it works, back up anything important right away and consider disabling startup programs. This could help pinpoint the issue, potentially a troublesome app or driver.
