I have a Lenovo Ideapad 1 15ALC7 that was in perfect condition until I made the mistake of using it on my bed for three days without proper ventilation, causing it to overheat. After realizing it was getting hot, I let it cool down but now it won't charge at all. I've tried unplugging and replugging the charger, checked the connections, and even reset the laptop multiple times, but nothing seems to work. I thought it might be the charger, so I bought a new one, but I'm still stuck with a non-charging laptop. I'm not very tech-savvy, but I'm worried that my CPU might be burnt out or something. Can anyone tell me if there's still hope for my laptop or if it's totally messed up?

Have you tried plugging it into the wall outlet? Sometimes it helps to check if it's getting any power at all. If it's not working at all while plugged in, you might be looking at a fried battery situation. That overheating could have really done a number on it.
Yeah, sounds like you could have fried the battery. Unfortunately, once that happens, fixing it might not be easy. But first, you could check what the full charge capacity is reporting if you can get it to power up somehow. If it's dead, it might be time for a battery replacement, but there could still be hope!
I can't check that since it’s been dead for a while. Any recommendations on what to do next?
Yikes, looks like using it on your bed created a cozy little hot spot! Make sure you let it cool down completely, but keep in mind that damage can be tricky to fix. If your laptop isn't charging, you might need to consider taking it to a professional for a check-up. They can better diagnose if it's a battery issue or something more serious.
Thanks for the heads up! I’ll look into taking it to a pro.
Nope, no luck. It's not charging at all.
