Help! My Lenovo Laptop Won’t Update and Has Slow Boot Times

I've been using my Lenovo Legion 5 for about five years now. Over the last two years, it's been acting up quite a bit. It takes forever to power on—sometimes an hour or more, and it just gets stuck on a loading circle. It also refuses to update; I get a message saying, 'Your version of Windows 11 has reached end of service, click to restart and update,' but the update won't go through. I haven't had a successful update since 2023. Recently, I've noticed significant frame drops while gaming and during regular web browsing. Since my laptop is also having trouble restarting, I can't update the graphics card either. I really love this laptop since it's my first one, and I'm hoping there's a way to fix it. I'm open to wiping everything if necessary. Any suggestions?

Yeah, definitely try the manual install route if nothing else works. It can sometimes resolve performance issues if the OS is really bogged down. Just a heads up though, it’d be wise to double-check your BIOS settings too since changes there can also impact boot times. And remember, if the update doesn’t fix the frame drops, it might be worth looking into your hardware, especially the RAM and GPU.

It sounds like you're dealing with some pretty heavy issues there. First, I'd recommend backing up all your important data. Once that's done, you might need to consider a manual installation of Windows 11. This process can delete everything on your system drive, so the backup is crucial! It should help with both the slow boot times and the update issues. Just make sure you stick to the instructions provided in the guide to avoid any hiccups during the installation. Good luck!
