I've been facing constant BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) issues with my Lenovo Y520 laptop. It seems to work fine but crashes more frequently, sometimes failing to boot or only lasting a few minutes before crashing again. I've tried various troubleshooting steps, but the error messages are inconsistent, and both drivers and RAM seem fine. Given that the laptop is about seven years old and has decent specs (i7 7th gen, 16 GB RAM, 1050 Ti), I worry that it might be a hardware issue, possibly a loose connection. I'm desperate for advice! Is there anything I can do, like unconventional fixes (freezing or heating it up), or do I need to consider disassembling it? I'm open to any suggestions!

I wouldn't recommend freezing or heating the laptop. Instead, I'd suggest making a media installation USB for Windows and doing a repair installation. This could potentially resolve your issues without needing any drastic measures.
If you can get into Windows, check for dump files in C:WindowsMinidump. These files can help diagnose the BSOD issues. If you find some, zip them up and upload them to a file-sharing site—make sure to get multiple files if possible. You can also adjust Windows settings to ensure you're getting Small Memory Dumps, which might help with future crashes.
I've tried that, but I can't format the drives, so I can't really get that process started.
