Help! My MicroSD Card Stopped Working and I Can’t Access My Data

I'm facing a frustrating issue with my 64GB Hama MicroSD card, which I bought last November. It's supposed to hold some very important data, but suddenly my Motorola Moto G54 is unable to recognize the card at all. While my laptop does detect it, it labels the card as RAW and requests to format it, which I obviously want to avoid. I've tried using tools like USB image tool, Recuva, and Disk Drill, but none have worked. I've even left it at a data recovery center to see if they can salvage my files. I'm really hoping to get some insight into why this might have happened and any advice on what I could do next. Thanks for your help!

It sounds like you're in a tricky situation! Before you attempt any data recovery, it's crucial to create an image of your card. You mentioned that your laptop recognizes it; try using a disk imaging tool to back it up before you risk losing anything. Also, definitely avoid running any repair tools like chkdsk for now, as they can cause more issues. Focus on recovering the data from that image instead. Good luck!

Unfortunately, flash memory like microSD cards can fail without much warning. It's a good idea to always have a backup strategy in place for important data. If you manage to recover your files, consider transferring them to a more reliable storage medium. It may save you a lot of headaches down the line!

Amen to that! Never trust a microSD card with crucial data. I've lost important stuff too when memory cards decided to give up. Always make sure you have a backup plan, whether it’s an external drive or cloud storage. This experience is a reminder to us all!
