Help! My Motherboard is Stuck with Red Lights After a Secure Boot Mess Up

I'm having some major issues with my Gigabyte B850 Gaming WiFi 6 motherboard. I tried enabling 'secure boot' to play Battlefield 2042, but the system info showed it as disabled while the BIOS had it enabled. When I disabled it in the BIOS, I got a pop-up about missing PK keys, and then my BIOS froze completely. After some time, it rebooted, but now I only see a black screen, and the motherboard has these little lights indicating CPU, DRAM, and VGA. The light remains stuck on CPU after cycling through. I can't access any pre-BIOS screen, and my USB peripherals are dead. I'm starting to think I might've bricked the motherboard, and Gigabyte won't cover software or BIOS-related issues. I'm looking into replacing the motherboard because I want something more suited for sound production and digital audio work rather than gaming. Any advice would really help!

Definitely do a BIOS CMOS reset! You can also try flashing the latest BIOS from a USB drive using the BIOS flash button. Make sure to check your motherboard manual for instructions. It might just need a fresh update to clear things up.

Thanks! I tried flashing it but that didn't work. I renamed the zip file to .bin, formatted the USB to FAT, but it just lights up for a second and powers back off.

Your board should still be fine! Have you tried resetting the CMOS? It can sometimes revive a board stuck like that. Just take out the battery and leave it out for about 10 minutes before putting it back in.

I just took the coin battery out. Do I really need to wait that long?
