Help! My Mouse Stopped Working After I Replaced the Battery

I recently bought a new mouse and have been using it for a couple of weeks without issue. However, after changing the battery, the mouse sensor's red light is now only faintly glowing. I can click and scroll, but I can't move the cursor at all. I'm on a laptop, so I can use the touchpad in the meantime, but it's pretty inconvenient. My mouse model is an Admos 2.4G Dual Mode Mouse (Model NO: CROCK 13). I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to fix this issue before I decide to buy a new one.

It sounds like your battery might not be making a good connection. I'd suggest you try cleaning the metal contacts inside the mouse with a dry cloth or a cotton swab to get rid of any dust. Once you do that, put the battery back in and see if it works again!

Should I wipe just the battery area or something else too? Also, would using tissues be okay or will they leave bits behind?
