Hey everyone! I've just finished assembling a brand new PC and I'm running into a major issue – there's no video output at all! Here's what I used for the build:
- **Motherboard**: Asus ProArt Z890 Creator
- **CPU**: Ultra Core 7 265K
- **RAM**: Corsair 32 GB (16x2) DDR5 7200 (confirmed with the motherboard's QVL)
- **PSU**: Corsair Shift 1200W (transferred from an older build)
- **GPU**: Asus 1080TI (for now, also using onboard graphics)
- **SSD**: Samsung 9100 1 TB
After assembling everything, I noticed that there's no video output and a white LED is lighting up on the motherboard. Here's what I've tried so far:
1. Moved RAM sticks to different slots.
2. Tested the onboard DisplayPort.
3. Reseated the CPU (just in case).
4. Reinstalled the GPU in various X16 slots.
5. Removed all SSDs and left just one in.
6. Pulled all SSDs out completely.
7. Checked the CPU cooler connection and ensured all devices were connected.
8. Verified that the monitor is functioning (it worked with my previous build just an hour before this).
9. Even let my cat inspect it... no luck!
I used to build PCs before 2017, but I've never encountered this specific problem. Usually it's been an issue with memory or something simple to fix. Any ideas on what could be wrong? I really appreciate any help!

I've seen a lot of no-display issues lately, mostly with AMD setups, but here it sounds like an interesting situation! Have you waited for the system to train the memory? Also, can you specify which white LED is lit on the motherboard? They usually have labels that can help.
Keep trying to get into the BIOS too! Sometimes it’s just a matter of persistence, even if there’s no video output at first.
No video output at all, not even the logo, so it’s a bit of a dead end right now.
You might want to check the light sequence code for your motherboard. Also, have you tried using both the onboard display and the GPU separately? Sometimes that can help isolate the issue.
Thanks for the tip! I actually tried both the onboard and GPU outputs separately, but it stayed the same.
Give this a shot: use only one RAM stick in the A2 slot and then restart your PC. This method fixed a no-post issue for my build before!
I just did that, but now I’m getting a RAM QLED error. I think I might need to RMA the motherboard.
I waited 3-5 minutes each time while looking things up on my laptop. The manual says the white LED indicates a GPU issue, but then it suggests checking power supply, RAM, CPU, etc.
