I'm building my very first PC, but I'm already facing a strange issue. As soon as I plug the power supply cable into the PC, the RAM LEDs light up without me even pressing the power button. Additionally, there's a weird soft beeping noise that I can't quite figure out. Is this normal? Should I be worried? I'm nervous about pressing the power button, especially after seeing videos of PCs catching fire. Any advice?

When you plug in the power supply and see the RAM lights turn on, that's usually a sign that the motherboard is getting power. It could be in a standby mode. Try pressing the power button to see what happens. If you're worried about the noise, it could be a normal POST beep, but if it sounds odd, maybe check your connections first.
I totally understand your hesitation! It's actually pretty common for some builds to light up right away. The beeping can also be a normal part of the boot-up process. If you're still nervous, double-check your connections and components before hitting the power button.
