Help! My new PC says ‘Network cable unplugged’ but the cable is fine

I'm having trouble with the Ethernet connection on my new PC. It keeps saying "Network cable unplugged," but I'm certain the cable is working since I've tried three different ones. I've already attempted a few troubleshooting steps like resetting my network settings, using Google's DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), updating the LAN driver on my motherboard, and even doing the whole unplugging the power supply thing. None of these have helped, and I just ordered a new 5e cable to see if that changes anything. Any tips or solutions that worked for you would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked the Ethernet port on your motherboard? It might be faulty. See if the port has any blinking lights when you connect the cable. If not, try using a USB Ethernet adapter. If that works, you might need to get a dedicated network card for better performance.

Make sure your Ethernet adapter shows up correctly in Device Manager. Run the network troubleshooter and give your modem/router a reboot. Check if there's any activity on the network port too. Sometimes a simple reboot does wonders!

Is your Ethernet adapter enabled in Network Settings? If it doesn’t show up at all, it might be disabled in BIOS. Just curious, did your Ethernet work before? If all else fails, you could consider picking up a cheap network card.
