I've just got my brand new Starforge Elite 3 PC, and I'm running into some serious issues. It works fine for a few minutes but as soon as I try to launch a game from Steam, everything goes downhill. For example, I downloaded the Brave browser, which opened but was just a black screen and wouldn't close until I added the '--disable-gpu' flag. Even with that workaround, it used up a ton of CPU and eventually wouldn't shut down.
After wiping the PC clean three times and reinstalling everything, I've still got problems. I downloaded Opera and some games like Ark Survival, 7 Days to Die, and Red Dead Redemption 2, but they won't go past a black screen. The Steam button gets stuck on 'closing' when I try to shut them down, and bizarrely, even Task Manager becomes unresponsive if I click away from the initial screen. I've done a bunch of troubleshooting like checking for Windows updates and installing drivers, but none of it has helped. I'm seriously considering sending the whole thing back unless I can figure out what's going on. Any ideas?

I’ve had a similar computer issue before. If you have multiple GPU options, try disabling the integrated graphics in your settings. Just right-click on the Intel UHD adapter and disable it. After that, restart and see if your games run better without it interfering.
Sounds frustrating! It seems like your PC might have a graphics issue, especially if everything just shows a black screen. Are you using a VRR display? If so, try toggling that in the settings. Also, check the Event Viewer for any errors that pop up when things crash—it might give some clues. A common issue might be selecting the wrong GPU, so make sure your Nvidia card is the active one instead of any integrated graphics you might have.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’m not sure about the VRR, and I found a way to switch between Intel and AMD, but it wasn't in the main settings. Just an older app. I did manage to check the Event Viewer. Strangely, even pushing the power button doesn't turn it off completely—just ends the apps and turns off the monitor, but the PC keeps running.
That’s a good idea; I’ll give it a shot! I tried a registry tweak before, and the game started but ended up crashing again. Hopefully, this will help!
