I'm having a tough time with my NVIDIA application. Despite using it since its first beta release without any issue, it's suddenly started crashing right after launch. Each time I open it, I get the error: 'A problem has occurred with the NVIDIA application. Relaunch the application. If this does not work, try reinstalling the NVIDIA application and restart your PC.' I've checked the debug.log and it mentions an issue with reading the protocol whitelist from the registry.
I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, performing a clean driver reinstall using official installers, and even a DDU clean reinstall. But nothing seems to work. My system specs are: MOBO: Asrock B650M Pro RS, OS: Windows 11 Pro N 23H2 (build 22631.5262), GPU: RTX 5070 Ti (572.83 drivers). Really hoping someone can help me out here!

Try using DDU again to completely remove the drivers. After that, head to your user folder (This PC -> C Drive -> Users -> [Your Username] -> add 'appdata') and delete the NVIDIA folders in local, local low, and roaming. Then reinstall the drivers fresh. That could help solve the problem!
It sounds like your GPU is pretty powerful but there might be an issue with your PSU. Sometimes if the PSU can't deliver enough power, it'll manifest in weird ways like crashing apps. I had a similar experience and it turned out my PSU was failing. It could be a unique issue with your card or motherboard too, so keep an eye on that!
Have you considered doing a clean reinstall of Windows? That could definitely clear up any underlying issues that might be causing the app to crash. It’s a pain but can work wonders sometimes!
I haven't noticed any performance issues in games, though. The GPU seems fine, and under stress, the PSU holds up well too. It's really just this NVIDIA app that's acting up.
