Help! My Old HP Laptop Won’t Start—What Can I Do?

I'm having trouble with my old HP Pavilion dv7 laptop. It won't start up—when I power it on, the lights turn on, but nothing else happens. The Caps Lock and number lock lights blink, but that's it. I'm really hoping to retrieve some old documents from it. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!

Have you tried connecting your laptop to an external monitor? Sometimes, the issue could be with the laptop's display and not the whole system.

Honestly, it might be time to consider getting a new laptop, especially if you're unable to fix this one. You could transfer your important files from the old laptop to a new one, assuming you can get it working long enough.
