Hey everyone! I'm reaching out because I'm having trouble with my old iPad Mini (model A1432 from late 2012) that I recently found. When I try to turn it on, it keeps cycling between a black screen and the Apple logo. I can get it into recovery mode, but it won't let me update or restore it completely. I get an error message stating, 'the iPad could not be restored. an unknown error occurred (2015).' Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is it beyond hope? Thanks a bunch for any insight!

Error 2015 isn't officially documented, but it might mean the iPad has a battery issue since it's been unused for a while. Plus, being an older iPad Mini, it's limited to iOS 9, which makes it pretty outdated software-wise too. You could try replacing the battery or getting it serviced, but be prepared that it might be difficult to get it working again.
I looked up the 2015 error and found info suggesting it might relate to connection problems with Apple servers. I have no clue what that means exactly, but considering I haven't used this iPad in years, you might be right about the battery and software compatibility issues. Should I just give up on getting this device functional again?
