I'm really struggling with my WiFi connection on my PC. Everything else is working just fine, but my computer can't seem to connect at all. I've tried a bunch of solutions: resetting the router, using Command Prompt to release and renew my IP (but it says it can't perform the operation because the media is disconnected), checking the router for issues (which there aren't any), disabling IPv6, and even forgetting and reconnecting to the WiFi. I've also had a chat with my ISP, but no luck! My IP shows up as 169.254.xxx, which I understand isn't right—a device issue seems likely since it worked perfectly a couple of days ago. Can anyone help me figure out what might be going wrong?

Have you tried setting a manual IP address? Sometimes, configuring it manually helps in getting the PC aligned with the correct subnet.
That 169.254.x.y IP means your PC isn’t getting a proper network configuration. Check the device manager to ensure your network card is enabled, and maybe even update the drivers. Also, make sure DHCP is set to automatic in your network settings and give it another go!
Check if you’ve made any changes lately, especially firewalls or antivirus programs. Those can block your connection.
Not that I know of; everything seemed fine before this issue.
Your WiFi MAC address might be blocked on your router. The 169.254 IP usually pops up when there's no DHCP or static IP available. Look at the status of your wireless card in device manager—are the drivers updated, or did Windows replace them with a default version after an update?
I tried that, but it didn’t work for me unfortunately.
