Help! My PC Freezes During Gaming – What Could Be Wrong?

I'm encountering some frustrating issues while gaming on my high-end PC with a Ryzen 5800X3D and Nvidia 5080 graphics card. The trouble starts when certain HUD elements or particle effects pop up on screen; my computer freezes completely. There's no sound, the visuals don't respond, and I can't alt-tab or switch applications. The game typically crashes, and the only way to regain control is to turn my monitors off and on, which causes a strange beeping noise. This issue seems to be happening more frequently with games from FromSoftware. Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any idea what might be causing it? I appreciate any help you can offer!

First things first, what power supply unit (PSU) are you using? It might be worth checking that, as an underpowered or faulty PSU can cause freezes during intensive tasks. Also, have you tried running FurMark to stress-test your GPU? It could help identify if there’s an underlying issue with your graphics setup.

I have a Corsair RM850x. I'm using an adapter (SKU: CP-8920333 - 12VHPWR), and when I ran FurMark, I didn't encounter any crashes! Here's the score I got: [link](https://www.gpumagick.com/scores/1270803). Any thoughts on that?
