Hey everyone, I'm reaching out for some help because my PC is seriously overheating and it's affecting my gaming experience. I love playing Black Desert, but it crashes even on low graphics settings, when I should be able to handle it on high. Since the PC was built by someone else, I'm worried there's a major issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

First thing you need to determine is which part is overheating. You can use HWInfo for monitoring. If you have a liquid cooling system, it might be time to check if the pump is failing since that can happen after several years. Knowing where the heat is coming from will help in figuring out what’s wrong.
You should definitely run some stress tests like Prime95 or OCCT. Also, make sure to check all your fans, including the CPU and GPU, for proper airflow. Try running your PC without the side panel and see how it stays cool. It’s really important to have a good airflow setup; you don’t want all fans pushing air in or out—get a good flow going!
I noticed that my graphics card runs a lot hotter than the CPU. I wish I could share photos, it would help experts spot the problem better!
I bet that your thermal paste might need replacing. It’s a cheap fix, but make sure to clean off the old paste with isopropyl alcohol. Just be careful not to mix it up with thermal glue!
I'm going to try that tomorrow! I've heard it can drop temps by like 10 degrees, so fingers crossed!

That sounds pretty scary, especially since I can't afford any major upgrades right now.
