Help! My PC is running slower after following driver update advice

I've been having issues with one of my games and asked for help. Someone suggested that I had a driver problem, and recommended a lengthy process to fix it:

1. Download DDU and follow along with a YouTube tutorial.
2. Boot into safe mode (they stressed this step is crucial).
3. Use DDU to uninstall the current graphics drivers.
4. Exit safe mode.
5. Download the latest NVIDIA drivers and choose 'clean install'.

I followed the advice, but now my whole PC is slower, and even worse, the original issue returned after a few hours. What could be going wrong here?

Good call on the DDU, but sometimes that advice doesn't address more complex problems. It could be software conflicts or even an issue with your Windows installation. I'd recommend checking for any corrupted files using the System File Checker. You can run 'sfc /scannow' in Command Prompt. That might help identify any underlying issues!

It sounds like you followed some decent steps, but there might be other underlying issues. Maybe there's something in your system setup that's unstable. Have you checked other components, like your RAM or hard drive health? Sometimes it's not just about the drivers.
