Help! My PC Is Struggling to Stay Connected to WiFi

For the past couple of months, I've been dealing with serious internet connection issues on my seven-year-old computer. I recently moved to a different room, which put me further away from my WiFi router, so I suspect that could be part of the problem. However, I haven't changed my internet service provider, so I don't think that's the issue. Usually, my PC takes a while to connect to the internet when I turn it on, and at times it just won't connect at all. When it does connect, it tends to disconnect every 5 to 30 minutes, even though it says 'connected, secured' when I check the WiFi status. I've tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps including resetting the PC, flushing the DNS, resetting the router, and even getting a new wireless adapter. I tested my laptop and phone on the same network and they work just fine. Interestingly, on Christmas, my internet worked well for a couple of days after I had a black screen issue, which was fixed by replacing the PSU. But now, the connection problems have returned. I'm really frustrated because I can't use my computer properly. If needed, I can provide specs. Any advice would be appreciated!

Given everything you've tried, I'd suggest looking into signal boosters or extenders to help improve your connection given your new room setup. They can help strengthen your WiFi signal.

Are you using a wireless connection? It might be worth trying a wired connection if possible, as that often provides a more stable internet connection, especially if you’re further away from the router.

It sounds like your wireless adapter might not be cutting it. Have you checked if your adapter's drivers are up to date or tried using a different USB port? Sometimes, just switching ports can improve connection stability.
