Hey everyone, I need some quick help. I recently built a new PC with a new motherboard, RAM, and CPU. Everything was running smoothly, and I managed to get into the BIOS without any issues. However, after I enabled Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) and saved my settings, my PC wouldn't POST and is now stuck with an orange light indicating a DRAM issue. Any suggestions on what might be going wrong? This is really frustrating! 😢

First thing you should try is clearing the CMOS. The method can vary depending on your motherboard. Look for a button or a pinhole on the back, or you might need to bridge some pins with a screwdriver or even pop out the CMOS battery. This reset will disable PBO and hopefully get you back into BIOS without issues! After that, I recommend not enabling PBO again, since your CPU may not handle it well.
Sounds like a classic issue! I’d suggest clearing the CMOS as well. Just make sure your RAM is seated properly in the right slots (typically 2 and 4 for dual-channel setups). After clearing, if you still hit that orange DRAM light, it might be that your RAM or CPU isn't playing nice with PBO. If you’re using a 9800x3D and Flare X5 RAM, some configurations just won't work. Just keep experimenting with the BIOS settings!
