Help! My PC Keeps Blacking Out and SSD Is Acting Weird

I've been having some serious issues with my PC over the past few months. It all started when I was playing Rivals; the screen would suddenly go black and the system would restart without warning. I initially thought it was just a game bug since it would happen only during gameplay. However, it later occurred while I was just browsing the web—it was bizarre!

After doing some digging online, I found that many others experienced similar problems, but the solutions were all over the place. Some suggested the PSU might be the culprit, while others pointed to the GPU. Since I'm on a tight budget, I can't just swap out parts to see what's wrong. And really, many people reported that replacing components didn't always solve the issue.

I eventually found a workaround by downclocking my RAM from 3200 MHz to 2133 MHz, which stopped the black screens temporarily. However, I recently started getting BSODs again, especially during heavier loads. They come unexpectedly, usually when I'm deep into a match in Rivals, though my PC doesn't crash while just browsing.

There's also this other problem: sometimes my second SSD just becomes inaccessible. While I'm gaming, the game freezes or crashes, and then the SSD shows up as 'Unknown' in task manager. Restarting the PC fixes it, but I have no idea what triggers it.

My specs are an Asrock B550m Pro 4 motherboard, Ryzen 5 5600 CPU, Corsair Vengeance RAM, and two Samsung NVMe SSDs. I'm considering fresh Windows installation and possibly a BIOS update, but I'm not sure if either will help solve my issues. Any advice would be appreciated!

A BIOS update might really help! I had a similar issue when I upgraded my CPU, and the screen would go dark randomly. After updating the BIOS, everything stabilized for me. Definitely give it a shot if you're up for it!

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm thinking the SSD issue might be separate though. I did find a thread where reseating the SSD helped someone. I should double-check my SATA connections too.
