Help! My PC Keeps Crashing While Playing Warzone

I'm having a tough time with my PC crashing when I'm playing Call of Duty Warzone. It can happen both with and without a blue screen (BSOD), and it seems to occur when I'm actively moving around in the game. I can often recreate the crash during intense gaming moments. I've experienced the CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED BSOD several times, along with a few other stop codes that aren't as frequent. I thought it might be an issue with my CPU, so I replaced it with a new AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, but I'm still running into the same crashes. I've also replaced my RAM, performed memtest86 with no issues, and done a fresh install of Windows 11. Additionally, I've completely reinstalled my graphics drivers and updated the thermal paste. My system specs are as follows: ASUS ROG Strix X570E Gaming motherboard, Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, ASUS ROG Ryuo 250 AIO cooler, G.Skill Trident Z Royal 64 GB RAM, ASUS ROG Strix 3080 TI GPU, and a Samsung 990 Pro 1TB NVMe SSD. I'm at a loss here and would really appreciate some guidance!

It's good that you did a clean install of Windows, but those customized versions can sometimes lead to unforeseen issues. If you haven’t done so already, I suggest switching back to a regular Windows version. It might clarify if the OS modified some settings leading to your instability. Also, when testing the GPU temperatures and whatnot, make sure your power supply is up to the task!

I second that. Sometimes even well-intentioned optimizations can create problems.

That makes sense. I’ll try running my tests on the full version of Windows.

Getting dump files is essential for diagnosing BSOD issues. If you haven’t found any in C:WindowsMinidump, it's worth checking if your settings are configured to create minidumps. Follow up on the guide mentioned by some users and ensure your system is set to create Small Memory Dumps. Once you get hold of that dump file, it can really help narrow down the issue further!

I just checked, and there have been no files generated yet in that folder. I'm not sure where else to look, though.

I finally managed to generate a minidump! I’ll share it after running some tests.

It sounds like you're going through a lot with those crashes. Since you've replaced both the CPU and RAM, it might be the GPU that’s causing the issue. You should try stress testing your 3080 TI using OCCT or a similar tool to see if it’s overheating or failing. Also, double-check that your power supply connections are secure and that you're using proper PCIe cables directly from the PSU. It's also worth checking the temperatures while testing to ensure everything's running cool.

You might also want to try running your PC with a different game besides Warzone, just to see if the crashes continue. It could help narrow down if it's a game-specific issue.

I don’t have another PC to test my GPU either, but I’ve heard stress testing can help identify issues. Let me know how it goes!
