I encountered a strange issue while playing Sons of the Forest for the first time. Suddenly, the screen went completely black after hearing a crashing sound from the game. I attempted to restart my PC, and the display returned, but then it crashed again and stayed black. I tried connecting another monitor, but it didn't show anything either. I even used the Win+CTRL+SHIFT+B shortcut, but it didn't solve the problem. I'm not very tech-savvy, so any advice on what might be going on would be greatly appreciated!

This could be caused by a number of issues, most likely a driver problem, but it could also be something hardware-related. I'd recommend checking Windows' event logs to find the error that occurred right before the screen went black. That might give you some clues.

Okay, but how would I check those logs with a black screen? Do I need to connect it to a laptop or something?
