I recently discovered that my Ryzen 3900x was undervolted and decided to tweak some BIOS settings. I noticed the VDDR CPU voltage was set to 1.104 volts, so I changed it to Auto and enabled Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO). However, after saving those changes, my PC started to boot loop—meaning it wouldn't even reach the Windows screen and kept restarting. I tried removing the CMOS battery to clear the BIOS, which stopped the boot loop, but now when I power up, everything lights up except for the RAM, and the QLED lights cycle from red to white and then stay orange without ever turning green. I'm pretty sure the BIOS is outdated (version 2.20.1271) since I haven't updated it since 2022. I really need help getting my PC back up and running; it's been a reliable machine for 5 years!

First things first, double-check that you cleared the CMOS properly. After that, get a USB ready with the BIOS update file on it—just be cautious when doing the update not to mess it up! If your only changes were the VDDR voltage and enabling PBO, it should be okay. Just to be safe, make sure your CPU fan is functioning when you start it up; overheating could be an issue too.
You might want to consult your motherboard manual on how to clear the CMOS accurately. When you boot up an AM4 system after a CMOS clear or a hardware change, it can take a long time to post. So, don’t lose hope just yet!
