Help! My PC Won’t Boot After Cleaning It

Hey everyone! I'm reaching out because I ran into a problem after doing my regular dusting clean on my PC, which I've done every couple of months without issue. I cleaned it, reconnected everything, and now it won't boot up. The PWR_LED light on my ASUS Prime Z490-A motherboard is lit up along with the RGB lights, but pressing the power button doesn't seem to do anything. Just to clarify, everything was working perfectly fine before I cleaned it and turned it off for the night.

I've tried a few things to troubleshoot: swapping the RAM (although one channel is blocked by my AIO's cables), testing with an old GPU, unplugging and reconnecting almost every cable, dusting the back of the motherboard to make sure nothing was shorting, reseating the CMOS battery, and unplugging all USBs and displays.

Now, I'm worried it could be a power supply issue, and I don't have a backup to test with. I've spent about 5 hours troubleshooting this with a friend, and we're kind of stuck.

Here are my PC specs:
- **Case:** NZXT - H710i
- **Motherboard:** ASUS Prime Z490-A
- **CPU:** Intel Core i9-10900KF
- **CPU Pump:** NZXT Kraken Z73
- **GPU:** Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti
- **RAM:** Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200
- **SSD:** Samsung 860 EVO 2TB
- **SSD:** Samsung 850 EVO 500GB

To sum it up, everything worked fine yesterday, I cleaned the PC today, and now it won't boot at all!

Also, consider if you inadvertently knocked something in your cleaning process. It might be worth checking that everything is seated properly, especially the RAM and GPU. If they’re not securely in place, that could prevent booting as well!

Have you checked what the debug LEDs are showing? It might help narrow down the problem. Even if only the power LED comes on, there could be a specific error indicated by those lights.

I checked, but sadly, the debug LEDs don’t light up at all. The only indication I have is that one light showing my motherboard has power.

It sounds like you’ve done a lot already! One thing to consider is whether any cables might have become loose when you were cleaning. Sometimes even little things like a slight disconnection can cause a boot failure. Maybe try reseating every single cable again just to be sure?
