Help! My PC Won’t Boot After Installing AIO Cooler

Hey everyone! I recently built a PC using a B550 motherboard, an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor, and an RTX 5070 graphics card. I got a great deal on a Liquid Freezer 280 RGB PRO cooler, so I decided to install it following the instructions from a video linked in the QR code on the box. However, after the installation, my computer won't boot up—I'm stuck with a black screen and the VGA light is on. I've double-checked all the wiring to the motherboard and GPU, loosened the AIO cooler a bit in case it was too tight, and attempted to boot with just one RAM stick from my four Corsair 3200 8GB sticks. I even put my old air cooler back on, but still no luck. I've also tried resetting the CMOS battery, but nothing seems to work. I'm out of ideas—what should I try next?

First off, it's good that you've checked the wiring and RAM. You might also want to verify whether the AIO cooler's fans are spinning correctly when you power on. Sometimes a misaligned cooler can cause issues. If all looks fine, try reseating the GPU to ensure it’s properly connected, since the VGA light is indicating a possible problem there. Lastly, if your motherboard has a diagnostic LED or beeper, that could give you more clues.

Great suggestions! Also, if you have another PSU handy, that might be worth testing. Sometimes power supply issues can be tricky to spot.

It sounds frustrating! Since you've already tried various things, have you checked if the motherboard has a specific error code or diagnostic LED that could point you to the problem? That could help narrow down whether the issue is with the GPU, RAM, or the motherboard itself.

Yeah, good point! I’ll definitely look for any diagnostic indicators on the motherboard.
