I've just put together a new PC build after waiting a month for a replacement PSU due to issues with the old one. Now, when I power it on, everything lights up except for the fans on the GPU, which only has its light on. The CPU and DRAM lights are solid red, and the system goes into a boot loop after about 10 seconds. I've reseated all connections, checked for loose plugs, and even moved the RAM around, but nothing seems to work. Given that a similar situation led to a CPU and motherboard failure last year, could that be happening again here? If so, I'm thinking of selling the parts since the prices are too high for another major rebuild so soon. Any suggestions?

Definitely double-check those power cables, especially how they connect to the motherboard. Sometimes those can be tricky! Also, try booting with just the CPU and RAM connected, removing any other parts like the GPU and extra cables to see what happens. If it still shuts down, you might have a dead on arrival unit.
It’s a bummer, but long gaps without power can sometimes be an issue. Keep an eye on the components; if the CPU or motherboard is causing it, it might be time to consider selling the parts.
I have a hunch that the CPU might have failed. The symptoms could vary, but it doesn't seem like the new PSU is the issue this time. You might want to test it out and see if you're getting any signs of life from the CPU again.

Good point about the cables! I almost made that mistake before. I did try running it with just the CPU and RAM, and the same boot loop happened, which isn't good. I think the CPU might not be booting properly since the red lights are staying on. I'm just worried that the long time with no use is causing these issues, like the salt in the air affecting the components.
