Help! My PC Won’t Start After Installing Fortnite

I recently downloaded Fortnite, and now my PC is completely unresponsive. When I started Fortnite, I encountered the EAC permission prompt and initially said no. Knowing the risks with EAC, I made a OneDrive backup first. After that, I approved the EAC permissions, but soon after, my mouse cursor started causing applications to highlight in black without opening them. I ended up restarting my PC using the physical buttons. Now, my PC won't display anything at all. The components light up through the case's glass, but the monitors are blank, and my wired mouse isn't lighting up either. I even tried connecting remotely through Chrome Remote Desktop from my phone, but there's still no connection. I'm running Windows 11, and I usually only download games from trusted sources like Steam.

One thing you could try is a recovery method. Power on your PC and immediately press and hold the power button for about 5-10 seconds to force it to shut down. Do this two more times. On the fourth boot, it should trigger recovery mode, which might help you fix the issue from there.

Just a heads up, I tried this method before, and it didn't work for me. It’s worth a shot, but don’t get your hopes up too high.

Thanks for the tip! I don't have a traditional power button, though, just sleep and reset. Might need to find a different approach.

Have you tried booting in safe mode? You can usually access it by holding the Shift key while you reboot. Once in safe mode, you can check those EAC settings and see if there's something going on there.

How do I actually get it into safe mode if the display isn’t working?
