I accidentally dropped my Samsung S20E's charging port into a bowl of hair dye last night. I've tried leaving it in rice overnight and cleaned out what I could with a cotton swab. I also used a hairdryer on a cold setting for about a minute, but I'm still getting a warning that there's moisture in the charging port when I try to charge it. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?

More drying might be needed! You can also use a cotton swab with methylated spirits to help clear out any lingering moisture. If that doesn't work, try forcing a restart of your phone. As a final option, you can reset the USB settings by going to Settings > Apps > Show system apps > USB settings > Storage > Clear cache. Just make sure to back up your selfies first!
You might want to try gently cleaning the port with some 99.9% isopropyl alcohol or an electronic contact cleaner. That could help remove any remaining dye or moisture.
Thank you for the tips! Do you think using methylated spirits will make a difference since it wasn't just water?
