This morning, I woke up to find that my phone hadn't charged at all even though it was plugged in all night. It was working fine before, so I was surprised! When I tried to charge it before leaving, it was stuck at 0%. I saw a message saying "battery undetected", which mentioned that it could either be because the battery isn't a genuine Apple one or there's some kind of software issue. The phone still turns on, but it dies and resets after a few seconds. When I checked the battery settings, it showed that the maximum capacity is 0%. I did a software update hoping to fix it, but nothing changed, and it still won't charge. I don't get how the battery could just go bad overnight. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong?

It sounds like your phone may have a hardware issue, possibly with the battery or even the motherboard, but it’s tough to say without getting it opened up. Sometimes it might just be a faulty battery, especially if it’s not an original. If you're unable to open it yourself, I'd recommend taking it to a professional to diagnose it properly.
Thanks for the input! I think my phone is one of those models that can't be easily opened. Should I consider getting it repaired or just buy a new one?
