I had a scary experience today while gaming on Rust—about 30 minutes in, my power supply unit (PSU) just blew up! My PC is pre-built, and up until now, everything was running smoothly. After the incident, I checked the PSU and discovered that I actually had a T550 550W model from Equites instead of the Corsair 650W 80+ Bronze that I paid for. I've already contacted the company about this mix-up and I'm waiting for their response. I'm feeling really stressed about this situation and could use some advice!

First off, don’t mess with anything else on your PC until you get a response from support. If you start changing things now, they might blame you for any further issues. It's definitely concerning that you got the wrong PSU, especially one that seems to be of lower quality than what you paid for! Just hang tight until you hear back from the company.

Honestly, you need to focus on resolving this with the company. It sounds like they sent you a low-tier PSU, and that's not what you expected. Until they sort it out, just keep your hands off the PC. Stay cautious, as using a faulty PSU could have damaged other components!

Wow, that PSU isn’t even listed on the quality tier charts, which is pretty telling. You should have received what you paid for, and clearly, this one wasn’t up to the mark. Just wait for their reply, but I wouldn't replace the PSU yet—you might need to figure out if any other parts were damaged during the blowout.
