Help! My PS5 and PC Keep Shutting Off After a While

I've been having a frustrating issue where both my PS5 and PC randomly shut off after using them for about 1.5 to 2 hours. It all started when I downloaded Ghost of Yotei on my PS5. At first, the PS5 turned off without warning after about an hour and a half of playtime. I had to unplug it to turn it back on, but then it started happening more frequently—first after 30 minutes, then 15 minutes. This issue also spread to other games like Fortnite. Thinking it might be overheating, I bought a fan station for my PS5, but that didn't help. Recently, I switched to my PC, hoping things would be different, but an hour into playing Overwatch, my PC shut down too. It seems both devices are affected in the same way! I've tried switching outlets and have worked on improving airflow by moving my PS5. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

It sounds like you might be facing a power issue either from the outlet or a hardware malfunction. The fact that both devices shut off after a set time points to something related to power or heating rather than individual hardware failures. Have you tried using them in different outlets?

But wait, if it's a power issue, how could it affect both devices at the same time? That's what makes it odd!

This could also be an overheating problem. Many PCs have BIOS settings that can trigger an automatic shutdown if things get too hot. Maybe the last time you cleaned both devices may have some impact? Dust buildup can really mess with cooling.

True, but it's kind of strange they both started acting up simultaneously, don't you think?
