I have a Redmi 12 5G, and today, while I was in a rush, a prompt popped up suggesting I free up some storage space. I clicked on "free up storage" thinking it would just show me more options, but it seems to have caused a lot of issues. Now, I can't use my camera because it says "insert SD card before using camera," I can't take screenshots, and I'm having trouble sending pictures on WhatsApp. Even though my images are backed up on Google Photos, WhatsApp keeps giving me a message about needing internal storage. I've been fiddling with the settings but haven't found a solution yet. I'm really in a bind here, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried restarting your phone? It's a simple step that can sometimes fix glitches like this. Just make sure you back up anything important first before you hit that restart button!

I'm really hesitant to restart it. I'm scared that everything will wipe out, especially all my writing from the last few months. I need to get that into Google Docs first!
