I've been dealing with frustrating crashes on my RTX 3090, and I wanted to share what I've already tried to see if anyone has suggestions. I did a full DDU, and I reinstalled the driver version 566 from December which is from before the 50 series. The error I'm getting is: DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGLERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED. It suggests that the graphics driver might be crashing, but I'm not sure what to do next. The crashes happen unpredictably – sometimes after a few minutes of gameplay and other times after a couple of hours. Any advice on how I can fix this?

This error can be super tricky! It might be related to the GPU itself, your hardware, or even Windows acting up. I'd recommend looking into potential fixes like the one linked here. If that doesn't resolve it, chances are there's a hardware issue. If you need to swap components, I'd suggest starting with the motherboard first.
Have you tried reseating your GPU? It could just be a bad connection with the PCIe port. Sometimes all it takes is to give it a solid adjustment to fix the problem. Also, using some supports to prevent GPU sag can help if that's an issue too! If you've checked that already, maybe some other troubleshooting steps could help too.
I’ve checked that a few times already. The GPU is fully seated, but I wish I could upload a pic to show it's supported properly.
Thanks for the link! I’ll definitely give those steps a try. I’ve got a brand new Asus ROG X870E-E motherboard, so I hope that's not the problem. The GPU is new to me too, so it's a concern.
