Help! My RTX 5080 Crashes My System After Installing Drivers

Hey folks! I'm in need of some serious help here. I've been troubleshooting my MSI RTX 5080 Inspire OC for days and I'm hitting a wall. The issue is that whenever I install the GeForce Game Ready drivers, my entire system crashes. The screen goes black, nothing responds, and my ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming motherboard shows a blinking orange Q-LED.

Here's a rundown of my system:
- **GPU:** MSI RTX 5080 Inspire OC
- **CPU:** Ryzen 7 5800X
- **Motherboard:** ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming (latest BIOS)
- **RAM:** 64GB DDR4 3200MHz (DOCP profile stable)
- **PSU:** EVGA SuperNOVA GQ 1000W Gold
- **OS:** Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

I've tried everything from a clean DDU driver installation to switching PCIe slots and even testing different power outlets. My old GPUs work just fine, but the RTX 5080 crashes right when the drivers load, although it does work in VGA-safe mode. Could it be a defective GPU, or is this a compatibility issue with my PSU or motherboard?

It sounds frustrating! Have you tried rolling back to an older driver version like 572.70? There could be bugs in the current version, although usually, driver issues don’t cause full system crashes like yours. Still, it’s worth a shot! It might be better to start with a more stable version first.

I did try that version too, but the same issue persists. Honestly, I suspect it’s more of a hardware problem, especially since the whole PC shuts down and the motherboard throws an error. I think it might be related to power management when the drivers allow for higher clock speeds.
