I've been having a weird issue with my SD card. I store all my important files on it, but whenever I plug it into my Windows 11 laptop, nothing shows up except for a file named "uupd.bin." When I try to remove it and plug it back in, it still doesn't work. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Google's suggesting that the "uupd.bin" file might be a temporary file caused by a power issue, which points to a corrupted card. If you're able to access recovery software, give it a shot, but make sure this isn’t your only copy of your files!
Your SD card could be defective or, worst case, a counterfeit. Can you tell me what kind of SD card it is, where you got it, and how much you spent on it? For example, if it was only $10 for a 2 TB card, that could be a major red flag!
It sounds like your SD card might be corrupted or on its way out. The "uupd.bin" file is often a sign of a problem, particularly if it's appearing unexpectedly. Before you do anything drastic, make sure your backups are up to date, just in case you need to recover your files later. You might want to try using recovery software to see if you can retrieve any data from it. Let me know if you need suggestions for recovery tools!
