Help! My SSD Isn’t Being Recognized in BIOS

I recently built my first computer using a new motherboard, the B650 Eagle AX, and everything seemed fine at first. However, I noticed that my Crucial P3 Plus M.2 SSD is being detected as M2A in the BIOS, and it's not showing up as a bootable device. I'm confused about the difference between M2A and M.2, and I'm wondering how to fix this issue. I'm planning to update the BIOS to the latest version, but will that help with the SSD recognition? My build includes a Ryzen 5 7600X CPU, an RTX 5070 GPU, and Acer Predator Vesta II RGB RAM.

On the B650 Eagle AX board, each of the three M.2 slots are labeled (M2A, M2P, M2C). M2A and M2P have PCIe lanes connected directly to the CPU, while M2C connects through the B650 chipset. If you want the best performance, try putting your SSD in M2P instead of M2A.

Thanks for the tip! Should I just switch it over and see if that helps?

You might want to check if CSM is enabled in your BIOS settings and try booting in legacy mode. That's what worked for me, but be aware that it caused some issues later, so I ended up doing a clean Windows install to fix everything.
