So, I'm in a bit of a bind. My Steam account was recently compromised by someone pretending to be from Steam support. This guy, who called himself Andy Benditt, contacted me via Discord, claiming my account had been involved in fraudulent activities and would be permanently banned. I fell for it and ended up giving him access to my account. Now, he's changed my email, and I can't sign back in. My friend reached out to Steam support on my behalf, explaining everything, but I'm stuck not being able to contact them directly since my email is no longer linked to any account. Do I even stand a chance of getting my account back? I really regret my mistake and could use some advice.

First off, you really should contact actual Steam support through their official website. This whole scam has been around for ages. It's unfortunate, but we can't really help you recover it from here.
RIP my games, hello depression. F in chat.
