I'm in urgent need of assistance with my Surface Laptop 4, which is stuck at 0% battery. It completely dies when I unplug it, and I noticed it updated itself upon restarting, but the issue remains. I've got my first university class tomorrow, so I really need some advice on how to fix this!

Replacing the battery isn't super expensive but doing it yourself can be tricky. If you want to try it, there’s a detailed guide, but you’ll need some specific tools. Some people recommend getting it done professionally if you're not comfortable with all the steps.

Definitely check out that guide first! You might want to weigh your options and see if a shop could handle it, especially if the issue is more than just the battery.

It sounds like the battery might need replacing. Surface laptops can have some issues if they're left plugged in all the time, which could shorten the battery life.

That totally sucks! I know they can wear out, especially if you're always keeping it plugged in. It just might be time for a new battery.

It might not be just a battery issue. Sometimes problems like this are caused by the charging circuit. You could have a faulty chip on the motherboard which might require a repair shop to check it out.

I guess I might have to take it to a repair shop. Could this be related to a software glitch instead?
