Help! My Wifi Card Isn’t Being Recognized

I'm in a bit of a bind here—I really need to get Wifi working on my desktop. I've always used Ethernet, so I'm not super familiar with setting up wireless connections. I purchased the AX203NGW wifi card and installed the necessary drivers, but after restarting my system and even trying it in my Linux environment, it still isn't showing up in the device menu. My desktop setup includes a 7500F CPU and a B650M-RS motherboard, which has a type-E slot for the wifi card. I also added an antenna. Can anyone help me figure out why the card isn't recognized?

I get how frustrating this must be! Yes, the AX203NGW uses CNVi, which complicates things for AMD users. If you're considering alternative cards, the AX200 and AX210 are both good choices that can work with AMD platforms. But be cautious with the BE200 due to some compatibility issues. For good MTK or RTL alternatives, I recommend looking at the MT7921 or RTL8852 cards—they should serve you well!

It looks like you're dealing with a CNVi (Connected New Via Interconnect) card, which isn't a standalone hardware piece. It needs to be paired with specific Intel CPUs to function properly. Unfortunately, if you're using an AMD platform, that card might not work out of the box. If you're looking for Wifi 6 options, the AX210 is a solid choice, but just remember, any Intel cards aren’t compatible with AMD systems for the latest WiFi standards at this time. You might want to check out Mediatek or Realtek cards instead.
