I'm having trouble with my WiFi router. It shows that I'm connected to WiFi, but there's no actual internet access. I've looked everywhere on Google and YouTube for solutions, but nothing has worked so far. Before I spend more money on this, can someone clarify if the cable is supposed to go into the WAN port and the other end into my modem? A friend mentioned that both ends should be in the LAN port instead, but I'm unsure what the correct setup is.

Yeah, don't listen to your friend; the WAN port is the key for getting internet access. Just make sure you're plugged in correctly. If you're still having issues after that, let us know what type of internet connection you're using.
You definitely want to connect your internet source to the WAN port. That's how it should work! If your router is your main one, the cable coming from your modem should plug into WAN, not LAN. Your friend’s suggestion is incorrect. Make sure that’s set up right first!
