Hey everyone, I'm really struggling with my Windows 11 computer. I have an 11th gen i5 and a GTX 1650, and it's been running slow lately. I thought a factory reset would help, especially since I've heard that's a good idea once a year. However, every time I try to reset it, it gets stuck at 58% and fails, leading me back to the blue WinRE screen. It tells me 'reset failed, no changes have been made.'
I've tried running an SFC scan and it reported no integrity violations. I even attempted a clean install, but my PC doesn't seem to support installation from a USB. I also enabled 'reagentc' but that didn't help either. My startup repair isn't working, and it seems the only system restoration point I have goes back to when the issues started. Can anyone suggest how I can get this factory reset to finally work? I just want a fresh start! 😂

Have you tried using a 16GB USB drive to create a Windows 11 installation media? You can download it from Microsoft's website. Just make sure to back up any important data first, since this will wipe everything.
Make sure you check the Advanced options in WinRE too! Sometimes there are additional tools that can help with issues like this.
I know it can be a hassle, but if your USB stick is acting weird, maybe it's time to use a different one. You could ask a friend or check at a library to create the installation media. Just remember to copy any essential files off it, as you'll need to format it.
If you're dealing with an incompatible USB issue, I get it. That's really frustrating. Best bet is to try to find another USB stick—or fix the one you have if possible. Data recovery is tricky, so if the data's important, you might want to consider that before any reset.
