Help! My Windows 11 PIN is unavailable and asking for a security key

I woke up to an error message on my Windows 11 device saying, 'Your PIN is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device.' When I try to change my PIN, it prompts me to insert a security key into the USB port, but I can't do that. Is there a solution to this issue?

It sounds like your Trusted Platform Module (TPM) might have been reset, which can cause issues especially if you're using a PIN or have BitLocker encryption enabled. You should have the option to log in with your password instead of the PIN or security key. Try looking for that option.

That’s strange. I don’t see any option to enter my password either. What could be going on?
