Help! My Windows Actions Like Copy/Paste and Alt-Tab Are Acting Up!

I'm dealing with a really annoying issue on my PC and I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out the cause. Initially, I thought it might be due to a settings problem, so I went ahead and did a complete reset of my PC, but the issue persists. Here's what's going wrong:

- Drag & drop functionality isn't working.
- Copy, paste, and cut commands (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+X) are unresponsive.
- Alt+Tab doesn't function as expected, though it seems to work with AltGr.
- Dropdown menus, like the Windows sound mixer, fail to open correctly.
- Sometimes, I can't click on buttons in web browsers or other UI elements.
- Occasionally, these features start working again for a short while, then they fail again.
- When I try typing in text fields, my input randomly gets wiped clean after 1 to 5 seconds.
- Pressing the Windows key multiple times often brings the start menu up and temporarily resolves some issues.

I've tried:
- A full reset and reinstall of Windows.
- Checked basic settings.

I'm starting to think it might be something related to the clipboard, a potential hardware fault (like the keyboard), or even an issue with the USB ports. Has anyone else faced something similar? Could it be a hardware issue with the keyboard, motherboard, or USB components? What should I test next?

So sorry to hear you're struggling with that! It could just be a fluke with Windows, but if you're doing a full reset and it's still there, it might be a hardware issue. Have you considered checking if your keyboard's behaving strangely? Sometimes those subtle problems can cause chaos, especially if they’re dirtied up.

Have you checked your hardware specs? It sounds like something could be failing—maybe water damage or bad RAM? If your PC is a bit older, that could also be a factor. You could try using a USB keyboard and mouse to see if it changes anything, but it sounds like it might be more serious than that.
