I've run into a frustrating issue with my Windows PC. After getting worried about potential malware problems, I did a system reset after backing up my files. Even after this reset, the problem hasn't gone away. I've checked the services running on my system and everything looks good: Microsoft Defender Antivirus Service, Microsoft Defender Antivirus Network Inspection Service, and Security Centre are all running, and the Windows Defender Firewall is on. I've even made sure I'm up to date with the latest Windows updates. However, I cannot access the Windows Security settings. When I try to open it under Settings > Privacy and Security, the app just freezes. I can't figure out why this is happening since everything else seems to work fine. Is there a solution?

Hey, just to check—if I go for the clean install method, will it mess up my product activation? My laptop came with Windows pre-installed, and I'm a bit concerned about that.
It sounds like you're dealing with a tricky issue. A reset can sometimes leave behind problems instead of fix them. A clean install might be the best way to go here. Just make sure you backup your important data first. You would boot from a USB drive, delete all partitions on your system disk (keep other drives disconnected), and then install Windows fresh.
