I've got an HP laptop with an Intel processor that I've been using for about four or five years. Lately, I've deleted a bunch of photos and two apps to clear up some space, and I regularly run Storage Sense to manage my storage. Now, I'm trying to download and install the Windows 11 update, but I keep getting an error saying it can't be completed because I'm low on disk space. I tried running Storage Sense again, but it didn't free up any more space. What could be going wrong, and how can I fix this?

Also, consider moving some files to an external drive or using cloud storage for files you don’t need immediately. Sometimes just moving enough files temporarily can give Windows the breathing room it needs to get that update installed!
Hey! It sounds like you've already done a lot to clear up space. Just to confirm, how much storage do you currently have left? Sometimes, even with some space available, Windows might need more for the update process itself. If you have 41.5 GB out of 57.2 GB, that's a decent amount, but Windows could need more than that for the update.
You might want to check for any hidden files or temporary files taking up space. In some cases, large system files can get stuck, or the recycle bin might still have stuff in it. You could also try using Disk Cleanup to see if it helps free up more space.
Yes, I have 41.5 GB left. I thought that would be enough since I’m trying to install an update, but it seems like it’s not sufficient.
