I'm a bit stressed out trying to clone my old OS disk onto a new disk that has a fresh Windows 11 installation. I've connected the old disk via a USB enclosure and followed the Acronis wizard to select the new larger disk as the destination and the old disk as the source. After a few minutes of processing, it claims the cloning is successful. However, when I reboot, it boots from the new disk but there's nothing new on it – it still shows the original space. I'm really hoping someone can help me troubleshoot this, as my plan to upgrade for Christmas is turning into a bit of a nightmare.

First off, make sure you're booting from the Acronis USB instead of just doing it through Windows. That could be the main reason the clone isn't transferring properly. You have to create a bootable Acronis USB stick to run the cloning process outside of the Windows environment.
You're right on the money there! Creating a boot image on a USB and booting from it is the way to go. That should sort out the issues you're facing. If you need help on how to create that boot image, just ask!

Thanks! I have a few questions about how to do that. Can I ask them here?
